What Types of Organizations Are Eligible to Use DonationMatch?

DonationMatch Support -

DonationMatch is available to staff, volunteers, and third-party fundraisers of organizations that are recognized as exempt organizations by the IRS (U.S.) or Canada Revenue Agency (Canada)--this can include charities, schools, government entities, churches and religious organizations, foundations, and even professional organizations. In Canada, registered "charity" status is required at this time.

Anyone authorized by one of these organizations to solicit and receive goods on their behalf for use at fundraising events is welcome to sign up for a DonationMatch account and create a nonprofit profile.

Organizations in the United States such as 501(c)3's who must apply for exempt organization status will typically have proof of registration in the form of a letter from the IRS that looks like this:

As a reminder, products received through DonationMatch are intended to be used as prizes for events (auctions, raffles, opportunity drawing, gift bags, giveaways) only.
